3. Selection of Stainless Steel Membrane Housing:
(1) The size of the membrane shell used in the reverse osmosis system is mainly determined by the designer's requirements. The arrangement and segment requirements of the membrane are different. According to the different import and export angles, they are divided into three types: 0 degrees, 90 degrees, and 180 degrees. In theory, the side water inlet is better, but it increases the probability of water leakage from the pressure vessel.
(2) The water flow and pressure of the 8-inch membrane is much larger than that of the 4-inch RO membrane. If two ports are opened on the membrane shell port, the pressure resistance of the end face will be reduced, and the installation will also increase a lot of trouble, so The 8-inch membrane shell has water inlet and outlet on both sides;
(3) The main problem is the flow rate of concentrated water. Because the maximum water recovery rate of a single membrane element is designed to be 16%, in order to improve the utilization of water, it is completed by using multiple membranes in series. The pressure drop is much larger than that of an 8-inch membrane, so the number of series connections cannot be too many. The specific number of series connections depends on the water quality and design parameters. Secondly, the choice of high-pressure pumps should be considered.
